About Us - Dog Tales Cumbria.

Based in the heart of the English Lake District we offer a fully Licencesed & Insured, comprehensive individual care service for dogs.

Dog Tales allows you to always provide the best of care for your dog, even when you can't be there!! From day care when your working, to home boarding when you have to go away; you can rest assured that your dog will receive the highest level of care in a dog friendly home.

We are a family run company, not a franchise, so have no targets to meet. We care for your dog in our home. You can come and visit us and see exactly where your dog will be at all times!

We are Licencesed by South Lakeland District Council and are registered with our local veterinary surgery, who we also use for the care of our own dogs; we are also fully insured for when your dogs is, in our home, out walking with us or being transported in our secure and comfortable van.

Our pet dogs are well socialsed and secure in their position in our household, as such they have always welcomed guest dogs, even to the point of sharing their beds with some guests!

We have owned dogs for over 10years and trained them for obediance competitions, agility and most reccently as working gundogs.

Friends and family often asked us for day care of their dogs and also holiday boarding. But when their friends started asking, we decided there may be an opportunity to develop an enjoyable hobby into a full-time business, and so Dog Tales was born.

We have provided day care for puppies whose owners have had to work during the day, we have taken a dog for holiday boarding whose owner had to go abroad for a month due to work, we have dog's who come and enjoy day care on a regular basis when their owner goes out; either shopping, to the hospital, or to visit friends that aren't 'doggy people'; & those that just come for a day every now and then.
